Jewel's Catch One was a Black lesbian-owned disco and nightclub at 4067 West Pico Boulevard in Los Angeles, founded in 1973 by Jewel Thais-Williams. For more than four decades it was a central gathering place for Black LGBTQ+ Angelenos, known for its dance floors, theme nights, fundraisers and community activism, including Rue's House, the residence for women and children living with HIV and AIDS that Thais-Williams and her wife Rue opened in the same building in 1989. Thais-Williams closed the club in 2015 after 42 years, and the building later reopened under new owners as Catch One. This is a historical record: Jewel's Catch One no longer operates. · 4067 West Pico Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA
