Cassandra Extavour
Evolutionary Biologist; Professor
Cassandra Extavour is the Timken Professor of Organismic and Evolutionary Biology and of Molecular and Cellular Biology at Harvard University and an HHMI Investigator, where her lab studies how germ cells and reproductive systems develop and evolve. Born in Canada and raised in Toronto’s Caribbean community, she is also a classical singer and an advocate for equity in science.
